Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church is an established religious organization which has been in the Fort Worth community for over fifty-six years. With its beginnings in 1950, Reverend Thomas H. Wade, Sr. was the first pastor. The Church had a reputation of a community-oriented church. In over fifty-six years, membership has grown from 2 members to more than 5,000. Under the visionary leadership of Pastor Sam Houston, there are more than 50 ministries that minister to the spiritual, emotional, financial, physical and social needs of the community.
Mount Olive has taken great strides to become a living organism that goes beyond its walls to effectively build a community. To accomplish this goal, Vision of Restoration, Inc ., a 501(C)3, organization was established to develop and institute support groups to rehabilitate and restore the broken lives of its members and citizens in the surrounding communities.
Our Mission Statement is "Go you therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen." Matthew 28:19-20
